With the support and endorsement of the President’s Risk Cabinet (PRC), the University is engaged in a Two-Factor Authentication Project to increase security for UAB Administrative Systems. This multi-step project includes a two-factor security for authorization which includes:
- eNotify RedFlag Notifications
- Message Center
- Question Bank Authorization
eNotify RedFlag Notifications:
As a UAB employee, you are familiar with the B-ALERT service. Whenever there is a severe weather alert or urgent campus information, all employees receive notification via their UAB email account. In addition to email notifications, employees receive a SMS text message and/or automated voice call message to their registered B-ALERT contact numbers.
Currently, UAB employees receive email notification (uab.edu account) when changes/updates are made to their Personal Information, Direct Deposit account(s) or Tax Withholding forms via Oracle Self Service. In addition to email notification, UAB's eNotify service provides the option of receiving RedFlag Alerts via SMS text messaging and/or automated voice call messaging.
UAB's eNotify service utilizes the contact number(s) registered in the "Identity" section for RedFlag Alerts. Changes made to your "Identity" contact number(s), may take up to 24 hours to take effect.
Payroll Services and HR Records Administration created the UAB RedFlag Notification Center to assist employees with RedFlag alert inquiries. If you receive a RedFlag alert notifying you of a change that you did not initiate, please contact us.
Hours of operation: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
