AUTO RENTALS
01/15/12 - 12/31/14
Employees that are in travel status may rent vehicles and apply for reimbursement through the existing employee travel reimbursement process. Employees that need to rent vehicles for shuttle or group purposes (i.e. non-individual travel) should complete a car/van rental form, and attach a contract routing form with appropriate signatures and process through the University Contracts Office BEFORE the rental takes place.
It is the departments responsibility to provide the rental company with a copy of the authorized/completed form when setting up the rental.
UAB Transportation Services no longer provides rental cars for UAB employees.

Base rental rates for Compact through Premium vehicle classes include unlimited free miles per day and per week, and 2,500 free miles per month; all other vehicle classes include 200 free miles per day, 1100 free miles per week, and 2500 free miles per month. Any additional miles will be charged at the rate of $0.20 per mile.
